Fujifilm brings out faster Acuity LED 1600 II

Fujifilm has introduced a new version of its Acuity LED 1600 wide-format LED UV inkjet printer introduced in 2012. The Acuity LED 1600 II has a fast printing mode of 33m2, more than 50% faster than the previous model. And the addition of an automated jetting adjustment based on the gap between the printhead and media, together with the introduction of a number of new vacuum settings, means the Acuity LED 1600 II can print to a wider range of materials.

Two-layer printing (white plus clear) and three-layer printing (colour plus white and clear) is possible when the printer is combined with Caldera or ColorGate Rip software. White and clear ink heads can be disabled when not in use to reduce maintenance costs.

The Acuity LED 1600 II will be shown for the first time in Europe at Viscom Paris, 29 September - 1 October.
