Graphica Display takes first Jeti Mira in the UK

Graphica Display is the first UK company to install an Agfa Jeti Mira UV-inkjet printer, part of a £400,000 investment by the Chessington-based company that also includes a Blackman and White cutter/router.

“Over the past 18 months we looked at a number of options but eventually discovered the Mira which offered the best quality and flexibility. We also found Agfa to be the most responsive company of those we contacted,” said Graphica MD Rob Hill.

He believes the two new two pieces of equipment complement each other well, allowing Graphica to print on rigid acrylic and cut to shape.

“Another advantage is that the Mira produces superb colour quality images using only a thin layer of Agfa’s inks resulting in a substantial saving on ink usage compared to other printers,” added Nick Halford, production manager at Graphica, which was founded 10 years ago. The company now handles work for the likes of Axa Group, Caffé Nero, Debenhams, Lacoste and Specsavers as well as being an approved supplier for the Boeing EMEA region.
