Roland does deal with Global Graphics

Global Graphics has formed a strategic relationship with Roland DG that means the latter will adopt the Harlequin Rip engine.

Akihiro Sadaki, executive officer and division president of R&D for Roland DG, said: “To add value to our Roland VersaWorks Dual Rip and print management software supplied with our inkjet printers and to provide our customers with the ability to efficiently handle ever larger and complicated colour files, we are excited to announce that we are adopting Global Graphics’ Harlequin Rip engine. We value their track record and proven performance in the commercial printing market, especially in high-end graphic arts.”

He added: “Under the long-term partnership we will be able to collaborate with Global Graphics’ engineers who specialise in colour management and screening technology to provide solid support for our customers. This agreement will also allow us to reduce lead time for getting our products to market while holding down development and maintenance costs.”
