Wide-format MetaliK board now available from Kernow Coatings

Kernow Coatings is now selling KernowPrint MetaliK Gold, Silver and Rose Gold in B2 (500 x 707mm size) sheets as standard - up to 707 x 1000mm on request - to meet growing interest in packaging from the large-format sector. The medium is printable with UV-curing inks.

KernowPrint MetaliK is a 345micron cardboard with a glossy front face, while the rear side has a white finish. The MetaliK side of the material offers various print options and pattern effects, especially with white inks. The white side of the boards is also printable. Kernow said the board can easily be cut on flatbed cutting tables - and with laser as it is PVC free - and that it will smoothly fold without damaging the metallisation or the print on the edges. Mark Geeves, director of sales and marketing at Color Logic said: “The Silver MetaliK board from Kernow Coatings has been certified by Color Logic for UV inkjet applications. Color Logic did a visual and spectral measurement of KernowPrint MetaliK Silver which met all of our requirements for certification. The Silver MetaliK board has excellent applications for the packaging, POP, and signage markets.” For those in need of a more rigid or different substrate for their packaging, Kernow Coatings offers an alternative - the PVC-free, self-adhesive 50micron KernowJet MetaliK Inkjet film. The material, delivered in rolls, can be laminated to any smooth board. KernowJet MetaliK Inkjet is printable with eco-solvent, UV and latex inks.
