Dover Digital Printing opens textile print ‘centre of excellence’

Dover Digital Printing has opened a centre of excellence at Guanzate in the Province of Como, Lombardy to showcase textile printing capability. Equipped with printers from subsidiary MS Printing Solutions, the centre also showcases products from other Dover Digital Printing companies such as software specialist French Rip and Caldera, and ink manufacturer JK Group.
  The 3,000m2 digital printing facility serves as an academy and technical training school with a remit to train machine operators, print technicians and designers. It is staffed by a team of operators, trainers, software designers and plant managers, and currently showcases the LaRio, the JPK 3.2m, the JP7, the Impres 3.2m, the JP4 1.8, the JP3, utilising Rip software from Caldera and JK Group inks, as well as MS steamers and dryers.   Abhi Agrawal, president of Dover Digital Printing, said: “In the new centre of excellence, we’ve combined a complete digital demo center with a facility for product development and the optimisation of print quality. We want to spearhead the conversion from analogue to digital, and this superb facility will help our existing and potential customers to understand the latest printing technology through training and education. It will also provide a valuable resource for customers to develop and launch digital products.”
