Swedish group buys Essex POS systems supplier
Essex-based POS display and merchandising equipment supplier PPE Group has been bought by Swedish-based HL Display, a POS manufacturer and supplier based in Stockholm.
PPE, which has been in business since 1971 and owned by the founding family, will continue to be managed by previous owners Neil and Nigel Parker. "Together with HL Display, we can expand into new market segments while improving our service offering to existing customers. In addition this will open up completely new opportunities outside the UK that we are extremely keen to exploit," said Neil Parker.
HL Display has been in operation for over 50 years and has its own sales companies in 33 countries worldwide while another 13 markets are serviced via distributors. "PPE provides an ideal fit with the HL Display Group. The company has strong skills and extensive experience in designing and manufacturing bespoke merchandising solutions, which we will benefit from in all our markets," said G?rard Dubuy, CEO of HL Display.
