Antalis has added Priplak flexible polypropylene sheets to its plastic substrates range. The company has also been appointed exclusive distributor for Polyart, synthetic paper sheets manufactured by sister company ArjoBex.

Folex will show various new print media offerings at Fespa 2015, a key focus being those for high-speed inkjet printing using Memjet technology. A RTI Vortex 4200 printer will be demonstrating new dedicated materials with fast ink absorption.

The managing board of Neschen AG has filed for the opening of self-administered insolvency proceedings in Buckeburg to be able to continue the restructuring process autonomously. This does not affect the operative business of Neschen AG and the European distribution companies are not affected by the insolvency.

Proskills’ managing director Jonathan Ledger is calling for the industry’s financial support of the PrintIt! education programme it manages. He has reiterated that Proskills hasn’t had Government funding since 2012 and so PrintIt! is wholly dependent on the generosity of employers and individuals from the print, paper and related industries, without whom it cannot survive.

New research from Hilton-Baird Collection Services has found that the ongoing problem of late payment has forced 34% of the UK’s printing and publishing businesses to increase borrowing in the past three years.
