Agfa has launched two new wide-format inkjet printer ranges and introduced a white option to its Anapurna M3200i machine at the ISA show in the US. It also showed new automation and more feature integration in the wide-format workflow Asanti 2.0 and announced there will be more new products before the end of the year. The new ranges, the Jeti Tauro and Mira, will be at Fespa 2015 later this month alongside the new Anapurna M3200i RTR White and additional automation options for the Anapurna M2500i.

Fespa has published a series of technical guides that are available free to members of Fespa UK and its other national associations. Two sets of guides are now available covering colour management and pre-production data management, with more sets being rolled out during the year.

Callprint has appointed former Icon group sales director David Snaith as managing director of standalone subsidiary Jupiter Visual Communications. The move follows the recruitment of Andy Phillips at Jupiter earlier this year, and a new retail and commercial team at the end of last year.

InkTec will launch the 5m-wide Jetrix RX5000 roll-to-roll UV printer at Fespa 2015 next month.

Murray Lock, joint managing director Canon large-format printer reseller and litho printing specialist M Partners, Surrey, has hailed the latest version of Canon's Calibration Management Console (CCMC) software for its large-format devices as the breakthrough “auto-calibrating system for satellite proofing that the printing industry has long been crying out for”.

HP has announced a series of four printers that includes its inkjet-based PageWide Technology for large-format printing. The technology, which consists of 200,000+ nozzles on a stationary printbar that spans the width of the media (page), is incorporated into the new Designjet XL4000, 5400, 5000 and 8000.
