Case study from swissQprint UK

St. Helens based full-service sign and graphics company, Vinyline, has invested in swissQprint's Nyala 4 to deliver enhanced quality, versatility, and productivity for its ever-broadening range of clientele.

Producing a wide array of print for local and national brands, from bespoke vinyl decals, window graphics, wall art and exhibition displays to building wraps, floor graphics, site hoardings and illuminated signs, the team at Vinyline looked to the Nyala 4 to help grow its workload.

The 3.2×2 metre flatbed Nyala 4's ability to print up to 1350 dpi provides class-leading quality on an extensive range of materials, giving Vinyline the opportunity to explore and conquer new markets, in particular the live events sector.

"The one thing the last two years have taught us is that we cannot predict what will happen in the future, but we can prepare for it," said Vinyline's Managing Director, Keith Hughes. "The Nyala 4 is an investment for our future and the print productivity, reliability and flexibility mean our return on investment is already very positive."

Swiss quality was key to this purchase decision, with the business having previously invested in a Zund UV flatbed system. “Swiss made products are engineered to the highest standards and built for durability, and the Nyala 4 is a beautifully engineered example of this," said Hughes. "Considering the overall cost of ownership is vital, and the build quality and simplicity of operation offered by the Nyala 4 are giving us the print performance and versatility we need for our long-term growth."

In addition to the 'hard-wired' flexibility of the Nyala 4's adaptability to switch from flatbed to roll to roll operation, swissQprint's in-built 'production-friendly’ features, such as their unique Tip Switch Vacuum system, and extensive configuration options, deliver the true advantages in speed, quality, and reliability that print service providers demand.

The Nyala 4 has already enabled Vinyline to win new business from both trade and direct clients. Hughes sees almost endless possibilities for the company: "It’s always been a top priority for us to stay ahead of the game and the swissQprint Nyala 4 gives us a definitive advantage over our competitors."

Before, Vinyline was unable to print anything smaller than 500 mm square. "Now, we can print down to 5 mm square, which is fantastic for small format safety signage," said Hughes.

Erskine Stewart, Manging Director for swissQprint, is delighted to have been able to provide the perfect solution for Vinyline's ambitious requirements: "It Is rewarding to work with such a progressive firm, and we are confident that the Nyala 4 will facilitate the means for Vinyline's growth across a range of exciting new sectors."

Hughes added in conclusion: "Prospective clients all agree that our print samples are the best they have seen, saying 'if we can print that, we can print anything'. If you can’t get an order based on that, you are in the wrong business!"
