New CEO for Onlineprinters

Roland Keppler will replace Michael Fries as CEO of Onlineprinters on 1 July.
Keppler has managed several companies where digitalisation of business models, expansion into new international markets and consistent customer focus played a significant role - including CEO of Europcar. “Roland Keppler will bring a fresh perspective to position the group sustainably for the future and will continue to establish the disruptive online printing model internationally. His extensive experience will help us to further strengthen our market position with a clear customer focus,” said Onlineprinters founder Walter Meyer, now a member of the advisory board. Fries will focus on other business activities after five years in the position of CEO. Under his management, the company has acquired Lasertryk and Solopress, and has developed into an e-commerce group with a turnover of more than EUR 200m. Since 2016, Onlineprinters’ expansion strategy has been supported by Bregal Unternehmerkapital, as majority shareholder, and Project A Ventures. Joint investments have been made in both online marketing competencies and further digitalising the highly industrial production processes. The Onlineprinters Group has developed its international business significantly and is now operating in 30 countries. Furthermore, Onlineprinters has introduced a wide range of new products and has met numerous customer needs thanks to new services, such as a portal for large customers (Corporate Portal). In the previous financial year, Onlineprinters, known in Germany under the brand diedruckerei.de, produced over 3.2bn individual printed products. “We want to continue our dynamic international growth, integrate even more strongly the Group’s companies, and win new customers through innovation. I am looking forward to the upcoming challenges,” said Keppler.
