Mutoh brings out two new roll-fed 64in printers

Mutoh Europe has replaced the ValueJet 1624X and ValueJet 1638X with the XpertJet 1641SR and XpertJet 1682SR, both 64in wide roll-fed printers.

Developed and manufactured in Japan for long-term applications, the XpertJet 1641SR is a single head 4-colour model while the XpertJet 1682SR is a dual staggered head model for 2x4-colour or 7-colour (CMYK, Lc, Lm, Lk) set-up using a new inkset. “In line with our company-wide commitment to create continuous improvement and innovation, the robustly built XpertJet printers feature proven and industry leading Mutoh technology. They are also packed with multiple product enhancements to provide sign professionals unrivalled print quality, the highest degree of user comfort and reliability for many years to come”, said Kenji Yasuhara, Mutoh Europe MD. “The XPJ-1641SR and XPJ-1682SR offer an excellent balance between the capacity for speed production print work and top quality print work. The new additional Lc, Lm and Lk colours of our new MS-41 series ink set will also bring extra quality to businesses focusing on highest quality prints with smooth skin tones & gradients for short viewing distances.” The printers incorporate DropMaster 2 for automatic adjustment of jet fire timings depending on the thickness of the media loaded, and have automated bi-directional alignment via an integrated colour sensor. There is a newly developed roll-off system and a 40kg motorised winder system. Both machines have a multi-language intuitive OLED display, and there’s remote printer monitoring from smartphone or tablet.
