New Mimaki printers get an airing

Hybrid Services is using The Print Show this week to unveil the Mimaki JV300Plus Series wide-format solvent printer and the CJV300Plus Series integrated printer/cutter. Also, making its European debut at show is the Mimaki SWJ-320EA super-wide solvent printer, and the first public presentation of the Mimaki JFX200-2513EX 8 x 4ft flatbed LED UV printer.
Both the 1.6m-wide CJV300Plus and JV300Plus use new 600ml ink bags placed within a reusable eco cartridge. “Not only will these ink bags increase the green credentials of the Mimaki range, they will significantly reduce ink costs, providing greater profitability to print providers,” said Brett Newman, chief operations manager at Mimaki UK/Ireland distributor Hybrid Services. The Mimaki CJV300Plus Series has a new ID Cut function. The barcode, read by a registration mark sensor, contains cutting and rotation information allowing the machine to automate the cutting process. Other enhancements include a production mode, increased weight capacity on the take-up unit and improved media feeding accuracy and correction. The Mimaki JV300Plus Series and CJV300Plus Series are accompanied by the release of the Mimaki CG-FXIIPlus cutter, which also houses the new ID Cut function utilising barcodes for error reduction, increased efficiency and a 25% increase in cutting pressure. The JFX200-2513EX flatbed LED UV printer has a new printhead configuration and a new draft mode resulting in a maximum speed of 35m2/hr.
