Roland ups white density with VersaUV LEC2-300

New from Roland DG is the 30in-wide VersaUV LEC2-300 UV printer/cutter, said to deliver a white ink density up to 40% more than that of its predecessor.
The LEC2-300’s UV ink is designed to adhere to the surface of a diverse range of media and, in addition to CMYK and white inks, the machine can be used with clear gloss. The contour cutting function has been enhanced and there’s a perforated cut capability. Combined with a new Multiple Print function and new media take-up system, high-volume jobs can be printed efficiently with unattended operation said Roland. “Since we introduced them in 2008, the LEC series has been used by a broad range of printing businesses for countless applications. The LEC2-300 builds on the best feature of the series. It includes a newly developed printhead and LED lamps, and has a host of updated functions for an even higher level of print quality,” said Kohei Tanabe, president of the Roland DG digital printing business division.
