Kaplamin Ambalaj takes a second Onset X

Turkish printer Kaplamin Ambalaj has taken a second Onset X printer from Fujifilm for its Prigo Digital Solution Centre.
Kaplamin Ambalaj - founded in 1976 and acquired by Çukurova Holdings in 1984 - bought its first Onset in 2017 to meet demand for shorter runs and faster turnarounds. It has now added to that Inca Digital Onset X1 LT with an Onset X1 at its Prigo Digital Solution Centre, near Izmir, where its digital corrugated board production, which stood at 40,000m2 per month, has quickly doubled. Factory manager Osman Bozcaarmutlu anticipates that running the two Onset platforms that figure will soon reach 100,000m2 per month. “Our digital printing business has been very successful,” said Bozcaarmutlu. “The Onset can print to a wide range of substrates and we’ve found it to be ideally suited to printing to corrugated board. The Onset is a very operator-friendly printing platform, engineered for hassle-free, smooth operation and this, combined with Fujifilm’s excellent service and support, means that machine downtime is kept to an absolute minimum. The fact that everything works so smoothly gives us the confidence to keep investing in the same technology and brand.”
