British Sign Awards to return to the Athena on 12 November

Organisers of the 2020 British Sign Awards have confirmed that presentations will again be made at the Athena in Leicester City Centre, on Thursday 12 November. The closing date for entries to the awards - this year being run independently from any trade body - will be Friday 12 September.
“The Athena has been home to the Awards for the past three years and following last year’s fantastic event, which received universal acclaim from both sponsors and participants, we felt we should return to the venue which has provided such a fabulous backdrop to our celebration of UK sign making,” said Ray Hirst, who created the awards in 2013. “There is one big difference this year,” he added. “ In the past, the awards have been run under the banner of a trade association, but going forward they will be totally independent. We will continue to run the award categories we have established over the past few years, with the addition of a new ‘Green Award’ designed to recognise the efforts of sign businesses to meet their environmental responsibilities.”
