The Printing Charity rolls-out helpline support

The Covid-19 crisis has prompted the Printing Charity to bring forward the roll-out of its free helpline services, which it had planned to do gradually over the next 12 months (see feature at http://bit.ly/2t5wd13).
The helpline (helpline@theprintingcharity.org.uk) - available to staff within the sector, and to their immediate family members - can help with practical advice as well as emotional support through counselling. In response to the financial and emotional impact of Covid-19, the Printing Charity is extending its confidential helpline service with a particular focus on UK SMEs in the sector, so that staff can access the type of assistance bigger organisations can provide. The charity’s 24/7/365 telephone helpline offers in-the-moment counselling from British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited counsellors and advice and guidance Monday to Friday. The free service covers a range of areas from dealing with debt and housing issues to addiction and stress. Neil Lovell, The Printing Charity’s Chief Executive, said: “We had planned to introduce our helpline through a phased roll-out to SMEs over a longer period, but since this pandemic began, we have changed our plans to make it available to more businesses in our sector. We’re keen to hear from UK business owners and managers who want to provide staff with emotional and practical support through our free and confidential helpline. We need their help to make their employees aware of what it offers, whether their staff are on site or on furlough.”
