CMYUK restructures consumables business

CMYUK has restructured its consumables business to underpin its expansion plans. The changes see Damien Clarke become sales director and Joel Willcock commercial director as part of a new business development team.

The overall strategy of this new business development team will be by CMYUK’s main board which comprises: Jon Price, group finance and operations; Robin East, group sales and marketing; and Michael Crook, in the new role of business development director.

CMYUK will be also be hiring two full-time digital resource lead generators who will help build direct international networks.

“We have a culture of empowerment at CMYUK and this forms the basis from which we are going to expand the next level,” said Price. “Our restructure establishes a senior management team that allows us to evolve at a rapid rate and gives the rest of our staff the freedom to grow, develop and add even more value to the overall business.

“Damien is an outstanding sales performer and leader. He has established a substantial portfolio of major accounts and is regarded very highly within the market.  He is a valuable asset to the business, and in his new role, he will continue to manage key accounts and mentor our sales teams by example to ensure they maximise their potential.

“Joel’s promotion is in recognition of the exceptional performance he has shown in product and supply chain management. The commercialisation of product is a detailed and complex process and Joel’s energy, drive, and commitment have made a huge impact on the business.”

Over the past four years, CMYUK’s consumables business has seen significant growth and has established a firm foundation on which to develop new business and expand into new markets via an increasing product portfolio, which includes the PVC-free Kavalan banner range and recently launched Ufabrik Eco Canvas wallcoverings manufactured from recycled plastic waste.

East said: “CMYUK is entering a new phase of expansion where we are looking to new markets and geographical regions with our pioneering, sustainable materials supply.  Our consumables business has experienced considerable continual growth in the UK and we are proactively creating new opportunities in markets such as décor, design, and fashion.

“We are focusing on innovative eco-responsible products that deliver on quality, performance, and price, which are clean and much better for the environment. We have set out a new structure to ensure the scalability we require to grow rapidly into new geographical regions with these innovative new product ranges.”
