DPI adds Virtu RR50 to its offering
The superwide Virtu RR50 UV-curable roll-to-roll inkjet printer from WP Digital is now available in the UK and Ireland from Digital Print Innovations (DPI). With the ability to print on a wide range of materials up to 5m wide at speeds up to 320m2/hr and with a 1200dpi resolution, the printer is expected to attract many looking at moving into digital, especially those from the screen print sector according to Stewart Bell, managing director of DPI.
"Previously, 5m machines were limited by the variety of substrates that they could print to and the type of quality they would receive at the business end, restricting them to external applications with long viewing distances," said Bell. "The addition of superior graphics quality to the 5m width creates an armoury of new opportunities for display producers."
Available in 36 or 48 printhead configurations, which can add white to either a four- or six-colour workflow, the Virtu RR50 is suitable for a plethora of applications.
