St Bride Library is launching a crowdfunding campaign this Sunday with a target of £50,000 “to strengthen and celebrate its future and make its collections accessible to everyone”.
The fundraising campaign comes in the run-up to the print library’s 125th anniversary and follows its opening as a hire venue back in August.
St Bride Foundation was set up in 1891 to serve the burgeoning print and publishing trade of nearby Fleet Street, and as well as housing the largest print and publishing library in the world it now offers programmes of design events and workshops. It is also home to the Bridewell Theatre.
