EFI Reggiani Bolt wins InterTech Technology Award

The EFI Reggiani Bolt is the first digital textile printer to win an InterTech Technology Award.

The awards - bestowed by the Printing United Alliance - honour technologies predicted to have a major transformational impact on the printing industry.

Designed for 24/7 operation, the 1.8m-wide direct-to-textile printer is very fast, with a top speed of 90m/min at 600 x 600dpi. It has been designed for low-maintenance, with fast-startup recirculation printheads. One or more analogue printing stations can be integrated into the digital printer for special effects.

To date, three Bolt printers have been installed, one in Italy and two in Pakistan - one more installation is being finalised in Pakistan. In the first year Bolt printers were in operation, they produced more than 10m linear metres of printed fabric, and to date they have printed more than 25m linear metres worldwide.
