pixart.it invests ?400,000 developing homemade W2P management software

The Web-to-print specialist pixart.it has ploughed ?? 400,000 into developing a management system to streamline its Web-to-print operation. The company, which handles more than 1,500 orders per day, including inkjet large-format jobs, charged its four in-house software engineers to provide an open-source, multiplatform software that manages estimates, orders, workflow and administrative duties.

Matteo Rigamonti, pixart.it CEO, said: "The web-to-print solutions available on the market today do not offer an e-commerce setup that completely satisfies our needs. After careful analysis, we decided to design software that is totally 'made in pixart.it'. It took 18 months of full-time work and an investment of approximately ? 400,000.00. We think the result is amazing: the software guarantees new advantages to customers in terms of service and price. What's more, it manages the entire workflow autonomously, supplying an endless amount of statistics that are essential for promptly analyzing the demand trend."?

Thanks to this new system, pixart.it can offer customers the opportunity to extend the delivery of orders over time - from 48 hours to 7 working days - and to take advantage of a discount of up to 50% on the total order price.?
