Inkjet to account for 77.5% of digital print volume by 2032 according to Smithers report

In 2032 digital print will account for almost a quarter of the global value of all print and printed packaging, worth $230.5bn. Inkjet will account for 74.1% of that digital print in terms of value, and for 77.5% in terms of volume, according to the new Smithers report ‘The Future of Digital Printing to 2032’.

The report, authored by Sean Smyth, predicts the impact of major internal and external trends and drivers on digital print over the next ten years. It outlines how most digital print segments are expected to grow to 2032, with packaging making the biggest strides.
