Imageco readies for new Nyala

Imageco has ordered a swissQprint Nyala to help increase productivity and give it what managing director Nathan Swinson Bullough is terming “a new creative edge”. The flatbed printer is due for installation on 27 November.

“I have scouted the market for a machine suited to our growing workload, a diverse range of work that is varied, high quality, quirky and of course has great sustainable creds.

“We have had a surge in new work from both the retail and exhibition sectors so we need to flex to cope with the demand. But I believe the new machine will open up new opportunities too, it’s not just a volume production machine - we aren’t about that at Imageco.

“The Nyala suits us well and will sit great alongside our existing HP and EFI kit. It will more double our production capacity, printing at speeds over 100m2. But also, we will be able to print direct to more obscure products, things like cut-to-shape wood, metal, glass... The Haptic effect enables a lenticular style print that gives amazing 3D effects too.
