HP has announced a new 36in DesignJet portfolio aimed at the AEC and copy shops markets. The series comprises the DesignJetJet T850/T950, Smart Tank T858/T908 MFP and large-fromat XL 3800.
The HP DesignJet XL 3800 handles six A1/D colour pages/min, with the first out in 20 seconds. The HP DesignJet T850/T950 handles A3 to A1 prints. The T858 MFP runs up to 90 A1 pages/hour and the T908 MFP up to120 A1 pages/hour
HP Wolf Security protection is built into the HP DesignJet T850/T950 and XL 3800, the latter large format printer having Enterprise-level Wolf security features.
The HP DesignJet T850/T950 are both made from at least from 35% recycled plastic, use carboard-based cartridges, and, along with the DesignJet Smart Tank T858/T908 MFP, can be scheduled to power on and off automatically. The T858/T908 MFP and the HP DesignJet XL 3800 are comprised of at least 33% recycled content.
The HP DesignJet T850/950 and the HP DesignJet XL 3800 are expected to be commercially available in all major markets starting 17 October and 30 October 30 respectively. The HP DesignJet Smart Tank T858/T908 MFP is expected to be commercially available from 17 October, with the T858 only available in Indonesia and Vietnam, and the T908 only available in China, India, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand.
