Antalis acquires 100 metros in Portugal

Antalis has acquired the Portuguese company 100 metros. The company, which specialises in the distribution and converting of packaging materials and components, had consolidated sales of 13m Euro in 2023.

The acquisition of 100 metros bolsters Antalis expanding presence in the packaging market in Iberia and follows the recent acquisitions of Cohal, Garalmi and Gosuma in Spain.

Founded in 2000, 100 metros operates out of Pacos Ferreira (Porto region) and Lisbon. Cardboard, film, foam and bubble wrap are key elements of the company's business, which also boasts an in-house personalisation offer, accounting for a sizeable proportion of sales, with its own machinery.

Commenting on the acquisition, Antalis CEO Hervé Poncin said: "100 metros is a tremendous opportunity thanks to its know-how in packaging converting and custom packaging development. As a leading packaging distributor, Antalis aims to strengthen its global presence in order to offer the best products and services to its customers".
