Epson launches SC-F1000 DTG printer with white ink

Epson has introduced its first entry-level DTG (direct-to-garment) printer that can print directly onto dark, as well as light, fabrics.

Using Epson’s PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead technology, coupled with NVT (nozzle verification technology), the new SC-F1000 includes white ink, enabling it to print directly onto dark garments and direct-to-film. The printer uses UltraChrome DG2 inks, which also reduce bleed from yellow and black.

Operation of the SC-F1000 is via an intuitive touchscreen and there are a range of features that make it simple to use, including auto gap platen adjustment, auto-cleaning and easily replaceable ink pouches. The SC-F1000 is further improved through Epson’s bundled GarmentCreator2 software.

“Demand for the entry level DTFilm has grown significantly in the last three years,” said Tom Owers, business manager, commercial and industrial at Epson UK. “We look forwards to showcasing the SC-F1000 at Printwear and Promotion LIVE! together with our partner Xpres at their stand.”
