Agfa has rebranded its inkjet printer portfolio under the banner ‘Powerful by Nature’. The announcement was made at Fespa Global where the company is also giving three new inkjet printers their global debut.
“We are thrilled to unveil our transformed and enhanced inkjet printer portfolio, where proven wide-format inkjet technology meets the power of three brand-new beasts,” said Arnaud Calleja, vice-president digital printing solutions at Agfa.
The Jeti Condor RTR5200 is the latest addition to Agfa’s inkjet printer line-up. This 5.2m wide roll-to-roll inkjet printer runs at up to 672m²/h and can handle up to three rolls simultaneously. It is field-upgradable with light colours and features white and varnish. There are multiple media handling solutions for large and heavy rolls, and automated options.
The Jeti Bronco H3300 S is also being debuted. This 3.3m builds on the Tauro UV LED inkjet printer, offering six colours plus white, with optional primer. Continuous board feeding enhances productivity and independent dual-roll printing allows for the simultaneous printing of differently sized rolls or different media.
In the first stage, the Bronco will be available with two rows of printheads. However, its horsepower is field-upgradable to a four-row version.
The Anapurna Ciervo H3200 is getting its first showing too. The 3.2 hybrid Ciervo boasts an almost 70% increase in printing speed in production mode over its predecessor. The continuous board feeding capacity enables efficient printing on rigid materials, at up to four boards simultaneously.
Beside these three new additions, Agfa is also showcasing two of its other ‘beasts’ at Fespa Global - the Onset Grizzly X3 HS and Jeti Tauro H3300 UHS.
