Agfa Graphics addresses 5m market with Jeti 5048 UV XL
Following the launch of the Anapurna M1600 UV printer and the European debut of the Jeti 1224 HDC FTR (high definition colour/flat-to-roll) machine at Sign and Digital UK this week Agfa has confirmed that it will also be adding the 5m-wide Jeti 5048 UV XL UV curable printer to its offering.
The Jeti 5048 UV XL will be available in two models: one designed to address high productivity applications such as building wraps and XXL billboards with throughput speeds close to 300m2/hour; and the other designed POS applications. Both support simultaneous printing of up to three rolls of the same media type.
The new printer has 48 heads and offers various print quality modes. The multi-roll option also allows for different roll sizes to be fed at the same time. A vacuum plate for handling of thin media, such as PE, is standard along with an integral waste trough for building mesh applications.
At Fespa Digital next month Agfa will show a range of applications for wide-format printing. There will be live demonstrations on the new machine plus the Jeti AquaJet, Jeti 1224 HDC FTR, Jeti 3020 Titan, Anapurna M2050 and Anapurna M1600. Agfa will also present applications from the M-Press Tiger.
