Rapidly expanding, Yeovil-based Sign Solutions SW has ordered the first Roland XR-640 in Europe. Sign Solutions owner Kate Murray placed the order on the day of the machine launch through authorised dealer, printMax. It is due for delivery in November.
Sign Solutions SW currently operates a VS and XJ but has been looking to upgrade in order to keep up with the latest technology. By trading in the XJ printer, the XR will operate on a similar level to the company’s VS machine as both use the same Piezo Gold inkjet printheads – plus it provides a print and cut facility which the XJ had been lacking. The use of Light Black Eco-Sol Max2 ink within the XR-640 was also a key reason behind the order.
“I’m delighted to be the first customer in Europe to order the XR-640. The high printing speeds allow us a faster production rate without compromising the quality we rely on. The added features in VersaWorks along with the ink modifications will not only enhance our printing but also allow for a smoother process.
