HP acts to help sign and display sector

HP has announced additions to its large-format sign and display portfolio to help printers provide higher-value application and service offerings.

“Sign and display PSPs face increased demand to expand their services while meeting faster turnaround times and delivering higher print quality,” said Xavier Garcia, vice president and general manager, HP Scitex Industrial Presses, HP. “By offering high-value upgrades and providing a comprehensive range of ink warranties and certifications, we are protecting our customers’ investments while supporting their business growth.”

New features for the HP Scitex FB7600 include print modes for higher speeds when producing small text, barcodes and fine details, and workflow improvements for easier media loading, reduced setup time and the ability to print without interruption.

There’s also a metallic colours effect application -  which requires a ColorLogic plug-in, HP FB225 Scitex White Ink and Hazen media, the HP-approved media option for metallic substrates.

In addition, the HP Scitex TJ8600 now offers a new POP print mode with enhanced image quality designed for printing text, barcodes and fine details, such as quick response (QR) codes for POP signage applications. Plus, the machine is now compatible with 20pt thick substrates such as styrene, commonly used for lightbox POP displays.
