Printmeit.com buys Mimaki JV33

Promotional print specialist Printmeit.com is hoping to include large-format products in its portfolio after buying a 1.3m Mimaki JV33 from reseller YPS.

Printmeit.com, which when it started in 2008 outsourced all its print, now has eight staff, a turnover of around £800,000 and can produce 80% of its print in-house. Its business is stationery, flyers and promotional gift products, but the new Mimaki means it can keep more of its banner work in-house and branch out into new products.

So far Printmeit.com has mainly been using its JV33 to print posters and banners for stands, but managing director Adam Chetter said the company hopes to start offering canvases, bespoke printed wallpaper and outdoor-durable banners.
