The Printing Charity looks to renew its sector links in Yorkshire

The Printing Charity has relaunched its Yorkshire Committee to renew its links with Yorkshire’s printing, publishing and graphic arts sectors in its drive to help more people in the region and achieve its goal of helping 2,000 people nationally by 2017.

Gurdev Singh, group business development director at Communisis UK, is the president of the charity’s Yorkshire Committee, supported by Robert McClements, chief executive of PrintYorkshire and John Buffoni, managing director of Ryedale Group.

Singh said: “We will initially be aiming to develop a strong network of industry leaders through whom we can leverage support and communicate the charity’s vision and values to as many individuals as possible.”

Stephen Gilbert, chief executive of The Printing Charity, added: “The Yorkshire region is especially important to us because not only does it have the largest printing sector outside London and the South East, it is also a region where the charity historically had very good links with the industry. We wish to renew those links to help more people.”
