Kyocera opens European inkjet printhead design centre

Kyocera is opening an inkjet printhead design centre at its European headquarters in Esslingen, Germany on 23 September. It will provide technical support for printers that use Kyocera printheads and customers will be able to visit the centre to test and evaluate print quality under various conditions with their particular media.

“Our new centre is one of the most advanced of its kind. We not only have highly specialised staff, but also the capacity to develop new inkjet technology applications,” explained Shigeru Koyama, president of Kyocera’s European operations.

Currently, Kyocera offers a variety of inkjet printheads, from the 300dpi printhead to the 1200 x 1200dpi KJ4B printhead. The product line also includes the KJ4A printhead for UV-curable ink, and the KJ4B for water-based ink.
