Carrick buys Summa F1612 flatbed cutter

Carrick Signs in Bury has invested £60,000 in a fully loaded Summa F1612 flatbed cutter that was installed last week and due to start proper production yesterday.

Managing director Chris Palmer said: “The new F1612 will mean Carrick Signs can now purchase/stock full acrylic sheets and cut these to any shape/size in-house, alleviating the need to pay other companies’ cutting charges and allowing us to respond to urgent orders. The tooling options also enable Carrick to cut and crease Foamex, card etc. for the ever increasing indoor and exterior display market (e.g. over parking bollards, lamp-posts etc.) and intricate printed and folded card shapes for the exhibition and promotion trade.

“We look forward to experimenting with the Summa and I am sure new exciting products will be added to our web site www.carricksigns.co.uk in due course.”
