Gandy shows off new UV printer models

The first public showing of Gandy Digital’s SL8TE hybrid and flatbed entry-level UV inkjet printers has taken place at Fespa Digital.

he SL8TE Hybrid models are available in widths of 1.6m, 2.2m, 2.6m and 3.2m and allow users to print flatbed or roll- to-roll (rewind and unwind with precise tension control), with continuous feed and the option of extra heavy duty extension tables for printing on to extra long rigid materials.

The SL8TE Flatbed printers are available in 1.6m x 2.6m and 2.6m x 3m sizes. The flatbed has pin registration and sectional vacuum zones, and there’s have a back blower for easy substrate removal.

CEO Hary Gandy said: “Despite there being a number of entry-level hybrid and flatbed options on the market, we have utilised our 30 years of experience and market leading print technology to develop products that provide a perfect and unforeseen blend of affordability with high print quality.

Gandy Digital also showed the Pred8tor and Domin8tor high volume print models with various new features including: a new crash sensor to remove the possibility of a collision between the printhead carriage and a printed job being removed from the printer; and a high density ink and software upgrade said to provide a 50% speed increase.
