Durst adds to its printer offering

German company Onlineprinters has bought the first Durst Rho 312R 3.2m roll-to-roll printer, launched at Fespa Digital, where the Austrian manufacturer also introduced the Rho P10 200/250 HS hybrid printers, Rho 1300 Series UV flatbeds and Rhotex HS sift signage printer.

The six-colour Rho 312R, which uses Durst’s Quadro Array 12M printheads, is capable of printing up to 240m2/hr (High Speed Mode) and up to 122m2/he (POP Mode). It can print two 1.6m rolls of media at the same time, with individual print queues.

The Rho 1330 is said to add 25% to the speed of the Rho 1030 flatbed, meaning it will print at up to 1250m2/hr. Its sister model, the Rho 1312 will print up to 620m2/hr.

The new Rhotex HS is over twice as fast as the existing Rhotex 322 and is capable of printing up to 300m2/hr, with Durst aiming it at those producing 500,000m2 a year.

Durst launched the Rho P10 HS Series at the ISA 2014 show earlier this year, and claims the new P10 200/250 HS hybrid printers can accept rigid and roll media equally fast (they use the company’s Quadro Array 10M printheads and has LED Pin curing in combination with UV drying to deliver speeds of up to 400m²/hr) and that media change from one to the other is quick and simple.
