Astley staff get set for Great North Run

Astley employees Michelle Doughty, Anth Lumsden and Stuart Ricalton will take part in this year's Bupa Great North Run to raise funds for charity. The half marathon event has special significance for the the trio and the firm which is responsible for building and installing a giant sign on the side of the Tyne Bridge that celebrates its one millionth runner, who will cross the finishing line on Sunday 7 September.

Doughty, an account manager is raising money for Asthma UK in memory of her cousin Krystle, who died in July last year at the age of 24 after suffering complications following an asthma attack.

Lumsden, a contracts manager with Astley, is raising funds for national charity Help for Heroes. Ricalton, a sign engineer  is raising funds for the Redheugh Boys Club football team.

Astley incorporates Astley Signs, Astley Imaging and Astley Maintenance.
