It’s a wrap

To mark the 175th anniversary of the Cunard Line, three Cunard Liners, the Queen Mary 2, the Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Victoria, sailed up the Mersey River and then performed their own ‘river dance’ to line up in formation. Leading in the ships was the Mersey Ferry wrapped in a modern version of the ‘dazzle’ pattern designed by Sir Peter Blake.

Contra Vision XR was applied across the windows of the vessel to ensure the integrity of the design while maintaining through vision for passengers and crew.

The ferry will stay wrapped for the next two years as part of project commissioned by Liverpool Biennial, 14-18 NOW: The First World War Centenary Art Commissions and Tate Liverpool, in partnership with Mersey travel and the National Museums Liverpool.
