Sun comes out with Streamline ESL 2 eco-solvent inks

Sun Chemical has introduced the Streamline ESL 2 range of eco-solvent inks, developed specifically as a direct alternative to Roland Eco Sol Max II inks for use in the Roland Pro 4 (XF 640, XR 640, Versa Express RF 640 and VersaCamm VSi) series of eco-solvent wide format printers. Sun will continue to provide ESL HPQ LO ink for those using Roland's Pro 2 and Pro 3 platforms.

Streamline ESL 2 uses Sun’s HPQ-LO (High Print Quality - Low Odour) chemistry, with the seven colour ink series including, alongside CMYK, a revised nickel-free yellow ink, light cyan, light magenta and a light black.

Product manager James Gould said: “The inks have gone through stringent tests, both in-house and at beta customer sites across Europe, to ensure a robust ink formulation that can deliver the highest standards across multiple print settings and substrate types. Results have also shown that ESL 2 offers excellent outdoor durability."

ESL 2, developed and manufactured at Sun Chemical's global headquarters for inkjet at Midsomer Norton, is available in 440ml cartridges and 1litre bottles. These can be used in Sun Chemical's Streamline range of bulk ink feed systems.
