Signs Express (Glasgow) delivers an out of this world experience

Thanks in part to Signs Express (Glasgow), visitors to the city’s Science Centre are now able to explore the cosmos from the comfort of its newly refurbished Planetarium.

Signs Express (Glasgow) has organised and installed an array of new displays and signage, including five floor-to-ceiling banners each measuring 4.7m x 2m, printed wall graphics, hoardings and a double-sided suspended lightbox greeting people entering and bidding farewell to those leaving. Arguably, the largest part of the project was the creation of a 28m long, 3m high illuminated installation formed from two lightboxes measuring 12m x 3m and 16m x 3m respectively.

Michael Kane, Signs Express (Glasgow’s) project manager, said: “We really enjoy working with the Science Centre because they push us by providing original and innovative designs. I am extremely proud of myself and all of my colleagues who have been involved in this project because we have utilised all of our extensive skills to complete it to the highest standard.”

Signs Express (Glasgow) was the favoured signage company for this project because of its previous work at the Glasgow Tower – also owned by the Glasgow Science Centre. For that project, Graham Casey, owner of Signs Express (Glasgow), and his team overcame many obstacles to design and create a 9m long concave light box as well as a other signage.
