Showcard helps paint the town

Letchworth-based large-format specialist Showcard has helped raise funds for local Garden House Hospice by sponsoring one of the colour stations at its Colour Clash Glow fun run last Saturday (21 July).
Marketing manager Chris Burniston, who was responsible for organising the sponsorship, was also a volunteer paint thrower on the day. He said: “As a large-format printer, we know how to handle colour, so it felt appropriate to get involved in the Colour Clash Glow. The runners appeared to enjoy themselves - some did their best to avoid getting covered in the paint while others actively requested more to be thrown at them. I think at the start we believed that as throwers we weren’t going to get as messy as the runners. We were wrong. Very wrong.” Becci Lloyd, Showcard’s HR officer, took part in the run with her daughter. “Isabella and I had so much fun and got very colourful in the process. The organisers did an amazing job and it was nice to help raise money for The Garden House Hospice. It was also lovely to see Showcard getting their families involved. All the kids enjoyed it and were bright pink by the end of the event. We can’t wait to sign up again next year.”
