Lick expands digital print operation with Topcopy acquisition?

Lick Digital, the digital division of marketing and fulfillment company the Lick Group, has bought Leeds-based digital print firm Topcopy. Together the operations will employ over 20 people and have a combined turnover estimated at ?1.5m.

UV print curing centre opens in UK

A dedicated centre for showcasing and testing ground-breaking applications in high-output ultra-violet (UV) curing has been opened at Heyford Park near Oxford, UK by award-winning British systems developer Integration Technology (ITL). Founded in 2000, ITL designs and assembles a growing range of UV curing solutions for a variety of inkjet printing and industrial applications.

Twentyfourseven makes massive inks saving

Twentyfourseven is making savings of over 50% since switching its Mimaki JV3/160SP and Mimaki JV33/160 to Triangle inks in May this year. Managing director Alan Burton said: "We are delighted with our conversion. Not only are we saving a lot of money, the quality of the product is superb. The switchover was quick and easy, taking less than a day to install both bulk feed ink systems, and we're still using the same profiles as before."

Epson grows its UK large-format market share

Epson reckons it increased its UK share of the large format inkjet printing (LFP) market by 7.5% in the third quarter of 2009 resulting in a 71.5% total market share of all A2 - A0+ ?printers sold in the UK in the last quarter.

Large-format graphic consumables supplier, ap denmark, has found a niche market with canvas graphics that can be used to reduce indoor noise pollution. The 'acoustic graphics' application developed by ap denmark and initially produced by Sumopix using HP Designjet printers and media, is seen as having potential in many public places such as schools, businesses, architecture firms and by managers of other public buildings.

Online film selector from Avery Dennison

Avery Dennison's graphics and reflective products division website now has an online colour selector showing what is available in each of the self-coloured ranges of Avery Graphics self-adhesive films. Users can also check product performance capabilities with the relevant technical datasheets online.
