BPIF presents print stats analysis

A BPIF analysis of newly revised data from the Office for National Statistics provides a detailed product sector breakdown for UK manufacturer sales of printed products from 1995 to 2018. It shows that printing onto textiles, plastic, glass, metal, wood and ceramics delivered the strongest sectoral growth performance over the period, with a turnover of £1.6bn in 2018.
Cartons and labels had a higher turnover in 2018 at £1.9bn, but the growth has not been so strong over the full period. 2018 turnover in other sectors was as follows: books brochures and leaflets etc. £1.5bn; other advertising literature £1.4bn; business stationery, event programmes, tickets etc. £1.1bn; newspapers and magazines £0.9bn.
