Imageco gets £45,000 grant

Imageco has received a £45,000 grant from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) as a result of its commitment to improving entry-level employment opportunities within the city. The company, which has a team of 28, has recently made five new entry-level hires. The new capital will help the expanding firm buy a swissQprint Nyala 4 flatbed printer to diversify its services.

MD Nathan Swinson-Bullough said: “We’re thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £45,000 by LEP. The grant will allow us to further our investment into creating new jobs, growth and sustainable business development for our company. We would like to say a massive thank you to the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership for granting us this funding.”

The new Nyala 4 printer comes at a turning point for Imageco, which over the past six months has expanded its international work with a number of world-renowned brands such as Dr. Martens. As a result, Imageco’s work can now be seen in retail stores across Europe and the team hopes the £45k grant will prompt more international, large-scale projects with the new machine helping it enter new markets and push the limits of creative print.

Swinson-Bullough added: “This boost in investment will not only allow us to take our work to the next level but also invest in our staff. We are committed to creating the best work environment for our employees, and a large part of that is supporting their long-term career growth. The grant given by LEP will allow us to give our new starters the training they need to succeed in the industry.”
