imageData buys world’s first Inca Onset R40i

Fujifilm has taken its first order for an Inca Onset R40i, which was officially launched at Fespa Digital. The order was placed by the UK’s imageData Group at the event, which has also seen Caravan Industries sign for a second Inca Onset - a six-colour (CMYK plus Lc and Lm) Onset S40i with three-quarter automation.

David Danforth, CEO at imageData, said: “In 2004 we were the UK beta site for Inca’s Columbia Turbo flatbed printer, ultimately installing two of these devices, which was followed by an investment in an Onset S70 in 2007. Over the last year, we have reviewed the market in search of a flatbed printer to join our line-up at Howden, East Yorkshire. The new Onset R40i caught our eye due to its perfect mix of features.”

Caravan Industries will install its new printer next month, doubling its output capability. The operation has a longstanding affiliation with Fujifilm and already has an Inca Spyder 320, Acuity 2545 and Acuity LED 1600 as well as an Inca Onset S20.
