Roland DG to sponsors FAB14

Roland DG has confirmed that it will again be a key sponsor of FAB14, the 14th annual meeting of the global Fab Lab community, to be held in Toulouse, France, 16 - 22 July.

Operating under the concept ‘Make, Learn, Share’, a Fab Lab is an open workshop equipped with a variety of digital fabrication tools that provide members with the ability to explore and develop their creative ideas and share information and know-how as part of a global fabrication community. The Fab Lab Conference is an event held in a different city around the world each year to unite members, educators and fans from more than 1,200 Fab Labs, with a broad scope of activities, including symposiums on digital manufacturing, workshops aimed at collaborating to resolve specific societal issues, and sessions for sharing case studies and information on new initiatives being implemented at local Fab Labs. Roland DG has sponsored the Fab Lab conference since 2013 based on the common goal of using digital technology to expand the creative potential of fabrication and develop new fields of value. Gregory Bilsen, Roland DG France SAS president, explained: “Roland DG has supported the initiatives of Fab Labs around the world for many years with products like milling machines and vinyl cutters that are recommended as tools for Fab Labs.
