Epson slashes cost of extended warranties

Epson is offering half-price CoverPlus extended warranties on many of its Stylus Pro large-format printers, representing savings of up to ?699.50. This promotion extends the standard one-year warranty to a three-year, on-site extended warranty. This includes access to a UK-based telephone help desk and, if required, a next-day site visit from a specialist Epson engineer.

i-cut makes moves on Europe

i-cut, a division of EskoArtwork which specialises in software development and materials automation for digital cutters, has kicked off its entry into Europe by running live demonstrations of its new Vision Pro 7.0 software at Viscom in Germany. Mutoh uses Visom Germany as launchpad

Mutoh Europe has used Viscom Germany to show four new products that will become available during the last quarter of 2009. The newcomers are: a series of soft signage printers with integrated drying and fixation, called Viper TX Soft Sign; a new series of direct-to-fabric printers, called Viper TX Extreme; a sign cutting plotter family, called Kona; and a calender system, called UniFixer 65.

Latex inks to reach more as HP brings out two smaller printer options

HP is making its latex ink technology available to a greater swathe of PSPs with the introduction of the L25500 42in and 60in wide-format inkjet printers. The move comes a year after HP first introduced its revolutionary technology via its 104in-wide L65500 printer. The two new models, whose first European outing is at the Viscom Dusseldorf exhibition, will have a price tag of ?15,500 (42in) and ?22,500 (60in) respectively and will be available as of January 2010.?

The Colorific Pro-J3 440ml cartridges (available from reputable suppliers) cost ?49 and form part of Colorific's 'mix and match' Pro brand, which it says denotes matching to the colour and performance standards of original OEM counterparts.
